Job Summary
This position supervises entry and intermediate professional-level employees or production team leaders within Manufacturing Operations. As a Senior Supervisor, you will set day-to-day goals and manage the productivity of multiple or complex manufacturing cells. You will be responsible for guiding scheduling, work sequencing, and production innovation to optimize operational output.
This role is on-site in Charlotte, NC
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management: Manage the daily performance and productivity of multiple or complex manufacturing cells to maximize efficiency.
Process Improvement: Guide cost reduction and process improvement initiatives within the cells to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Planning & Scheduling: Plan and execute production scheduling and the sequencing of work, including build and delivery cycles.
Carrier Excellence: Lead and guide Carrier Excellence initiatives for assigned cells.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all quality-related items for complex cells are completed and documented according to established quality standards.
Logistics Coordination: Supervises activities related to materials and logistics problem resolution to ensure smooth daily operations.
Innovation: Guide production innovation, including additive manufacturing, to enhance cell production capabilities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interact with Scheduling, Materials, Quality, and Engineering support functions, and interface with customers to ensure service standards are met.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree
3+ years of prior experience in manufacturing, operations, or a technical production environment
2+ years experience in a supervisory or leadership role with responsibility for work scheduling, prioritizing, and coaching.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience working with technical or operational manufacturing practices (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar).
Experience overseeing additive manufacturing processes or production innovation projects.
Experience managing multiple manufacturing cells or complex production lines simultaneously.
Prior experience utilizing ERP or manufacturing scheduling software to sequence work
Specialized knowledge of technical or operational manufacturing practices.
