Pooled Position Limited Tempor - Union Events Support Staff

JOB TITLE:   

Union Events Support Staff

JOB PURPOSE:   

Assist in room setups for small and large-scale events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Set up chairs and tables
• Set up pipe, drape, and a stage
• Setting, assisting, and troubleshooting audio/visual equipment
• Know how to read a pre-made diagram to set a room
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY: 

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

Education: High school diploma or GED and current University of Wyoming student.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Strong inter-personal communication and customer service skills as well as possess a high degree of attention to detail. 
• Ability to problem solve, work as a team player, and manage multiple priorities.
• Reliability, accuracy, and flexibility related to work schedule.
• Desire to learn and adapt to an ever-changing environment.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time and assist in lifting/moving equipment and supplies with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Dependable and personable.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
