About the Role:
This is a key role within our Finance Team, working closely with the Head of Accounting to provide high-quality financial analysis, supporting strategic decision making and overseeing management accounting activities.
Role Responsibilities:
- Management Reporting: Preparing and presenting monthly financial performance reports, KPI analysis and ad-hoc reports to senior management and stakeholders
- Month-End Close: Managing the month-end closing process, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
- Variance Analysis: Conducting detailed variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, providing explanations for variances
- Team Support: Providing support and guidance on accounting best practices and professional development.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting with the budgeting and forecasting process by collaborating with department heads to align with strategic goals and financial targets.
- Cost Control and Efficiency Improvement: Monitor and analyse business costs, identifying areas for improvement and suggesting measures to optimize financial performance.
What is required from you:
- A professional accounting qualification such as ACCA or CIMA is desired
- Experience in Management Accounting preferably within a senior or supervisory role
- Strong proficiency in financial software
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills
