Job Overview

Shriners Children's St. Louis is seeking a full time Medical Assistant Coordinator to join our team!

 

The Medical Assistant Coordinator is responsible for delegating and coordinating nursing care for the Medical Office / ACC, as well as providing leadership for the day to day operations in the area.

 

This includes assisting providers, completing documentation, providing care and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

 

 

• Maintains clinic flow to best advantage of the patient, physicians and clinic staff.•Participates in orientation of all team members.•Makes self available to clinic aides/assistants to answer questions concerning patients throughout the day.•Provides guidance and direction to staff in the Medical Office process.•Provides opportunities for staff members to share concerns and address patient issues.•Provides input on clinic personnel performance appraisals and any disciplinary action needed.•Keeps Manager informed of problems arising in the flow process and/or staff

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Medical Assistant program completion certificate and Medical Assistant Certification
  • 5 yrs Medical Assistant experience 
  • Procedural experience 
  • 1 yr supervisory experience 
  • BLS
