Position: Senior Software Engineer
Job Location: 1375 Crossman Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94089
Duties: Participate in medium- to large-scale projects by reviewing project requirements, translating requirements into technical solutions, creating design documents, and gathering product requirements and wire frames. Write and develop code, create unit testing, and conduct code reviews. Identify short- and long-term solutions and timeline, review and provide feedback for proposed solutions, and perform design and code reviews of changes. Drive the discovery phase of medium to large projects to develop high level design by partnering with the product management, project management, business, and user experience teams and obtaining cross-function approvals. Demonstrate up-to-date expertise and apply this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices. Support and align efforts to meet customer and business needs and build commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders, identifying business needs, and determining and carrying out necessary processes/practices monitoring progress and results.
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or related field and 5 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or related field and 2 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment.
Skills required: Experience working with Async Message processing systems including Kafka and JMS technologies to process the messages and integrate across systems. Experience designing and building highly scalable and multi-tenant solutions by engaging in capacity planning, system performance tuning, and analysis using Jmeter and JVisualVM. Experience building, deploying, and managing micro-services using cloud solutions including Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, and Docker Framework. Experience building Data Reporting, Monitoring, application logging, and System Analysis Dashboards using Splunk, Dynatrace, and Grafana. Experience with SQL/NoSQL and database technologies including Oracle and Cassandra. Experience extracting, transforming, and loading data feeds from different systems using Python, Shell scripts, and SQL scripts. Experience developing functional and unit test cases by using JUnit and TestNG frameworks. Experience creating scheduled utilities and jobs using open-source technologies using Unix and Spring scheduler frameworks. Experience designing and developing multi-thread applications capable of handling millions of messages using Java platforms. Experience building Continuous code Integration and deployment pipelines using Jenkins and Maven. Experience with object-oriented and event driven systems. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $184,827/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
