And, we empower you to be a Trailblazer, too — driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world. Position Overview:
Salesforce is leading the digital labor revolution. With Agentforce, organizations of any size can bring humans together with agents to drive customer success—powered by AI, data, and action. We are helping our customers reinvent their businesses and reach new levels of productivity and efficiency — and we are seeking an experienced newsroom leader to help us tell that story.
The Director, Executive Editor, Salesforce Newsroom will establish Salesforce as a leading, influential source for insights on the digital labor revolution and agentic AI. This role requires a visionary leader with the ability to craft and execute an ambitious editorial strategy that resonates with key audiences, including tech decision-makers and C-suite executives. The Executive Editor will be responsible for expanding our high-performing team, ensuring the newsroom's distinct voice and purpose are clearly defined, overseeing and growing our distribution strategy across owned and paid channels, and leveraging data to measure and demonstrate influence and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Newsroom Leadership: Lead the strategic evolution of the Salesforce Newsroom, defining its core mission, scope, and focus to align with overarching corporate objectives, particularly centering on Salesforce's unique and differentiated vision and products. Understand, shape, and champion the newsroom's distinct role, goals, and voice to differentiate it from other Salesforce communications and marketing publications.
Editorial Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive editorial strategy to position the newsroom as a trusted and influential source on the digital labor revolution, pioneering advancements in enterprise cloud computing and AI, and broader technology trends. Ensure content educates and engages a wide range of stakeholders, from Salesforce Admins to CIOs.
Writing and Editing: Conceive, top-edit, and occasionally write ambitious features that establish Salesforce at the forefront of the conversation around digital labor and the agentic revolution.
Team Leadership and Development: Build out and manage a high-performing editorial team capable of executing an ambitious production schedule. Elevate writing quality across the team through guidance, mentorship, and professional development.
Audience Reach and Distribution: Collaborate closely with distribution teams to ensure newsroom content effectively reaches and engages highest-priority audiences, including tech decision-makers and C-suite executives.
Influence Measurement: Design and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and grow the Newsroom's influence and reach among target audiences.
Industry Expertise: Stay informed on industry trends, news, and developments, particularly related to AI, data, platform technologies, and the digital labor landscape.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across Salesforce, including PR, marketing, investor relations, HR, and product, to ensure alignment while maintaining editorial authority and clarity of purpose.
Executive Engagement: Engage with senior leadership to align editorial priorities with company strategy and elevate the newsroom's visibility.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in journalism, editorial leadership, corporate communications, or public relations.
Proven track record of newsroom leadership, including reinventing or significantly scaling an editorial operation and building and inspiring a high performance team.
