JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems at Penn State University Park invites applications for a part-time research assistant to start May 2026. This appointment is a part-time position without guarantee of renewal. The successful candidate will work for up to 20 hours per week assisting Dr. Wael Jabr.
Anticipated Duties:
- Collect, clean, and organize research data related to online platforms and attention markets
- Assist with statistical, computational, and text-based analysis
- Maintain reproducible workflows and support research summaries, pilots, and writeups
Required Qualifications:
- Education in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, or a related field
- Experience with Python and data cleaning/analysis
- Experience with research workflows, including documentation and reproducibility
Compensation:
Starting rate for this position is $12.00 per hour.
