About the role
This position is responsible for maintenance, filing, distribution and quality control of patient records, which includes medical and COVID testing records. Position is responsible for disbursing patient test results and related information to clients according to established federal, non-federal and organizational standards. The Medical Records Technician is accountable for accurate storage and filing of patient records and related information, timely response to client questions and support needs, and delivery of excellent customer service. This position routinely performs research and processing of requests for clients, third party administrators and private patients.
We are seeking a full-time in person Medical Records Technician to support our clinic in Anchorage, AK. Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week.

Key responsibilities
- Follow Standards of Care, Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics, and Policies and Procedures.
- Comply with the regulatory agency rules and regulations to assure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
- Multi-task and carry out customer service and administrative components of the position.
- Ensure that standards of care are met and procedures are followed.
- Perform and/or understand all technical aspects of service area (UA collections, BATs, audiograms, RMA/PFTs, FCEs, Fits, vitals, laboratory services, radiology services, EKGs, and overall patient triage).
- Understand operating systems (Drug & Alcohol & OH systems).
- Provide consistent and regular feedback to Director of Clinical Services.
- Communicate with customers to ensure they are satisfied and their needs are met.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
About you
Records Technician must have the ability to work in MS Office, industry specific software and operate standard office equipment. Records Technician must have the ability to produce professional correspondence to include internal and external email communications. Records Tech will demonstrate a positive attitude, have excellent interpersonal skills, customer service skills, organization and problem-solving skills.

Require Experience:
A minimum of two (2) years of administrative experience and two (2) years in a customer service position or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods of sitting (6-8 hours per day)
- Periods of standing (1-2 hours per day)
- Moderate periods of walking 1-2 hours a day
- Occasional lifting of up to 20lbs
Contingencies:
