JOB SUMMARY 

The Hello Team Minister’s primary role is to lead a team of volunteers (Hello Team) who help BattleCreek feel like a welcoming place for people. From the parking lot to the auditorium and every step in between, Hello Team volunteers help each person know BattleCreek is a place they can attend and, even better, where they can belong.   

CORE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

Ministry Vision & Values:  Models the standards and expectations of a member at BattleCreek Church in all areas of responsibility including: Profession of Jesus Christ, Baptism by immersion, commitment to personal spiritual growth, membership and worship at BattleCreek Church, Community Group participation, a lifestyle of tithing and generosity, and serving out of a call and giftedness.   
 
Policy and Procedure: Possesses knowledge (or seeks appropriate guidance) and maintains the ability to accurately apply all policies and procedures as listed in the BattleCreek employee handbook or as otherwise instructed as able to lead others. 

Communication: Keeps Supervisor and/or Human Resources informed of significant problems (legal or liability threat) that jeopardize the achievement of objectives. 
 

Continuous Improvement: Possesses talent, desire, passion, servant leadership and initiative to take position and department(s) to the next level while continuing the learning process to ensure the very best possible team, department and work environment. 

POSITION SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

• Lead and inspire with excellence to motivate Hello Team volunteers to build a welcoming place for all people who attend the campus 

• Recruit, equip and develop volunteers to the Hello Team based on the spiritual gifts that God has placed on them   

• Schedule volunteers for each service to ensure all service day needs are met 

• Plan and execute exciting events for campus members to fellowship and deepen their relationship with Christ  

• Code for monthly expense reports for campus financial needs 

• Other projects or campus needs as assigned to help all people of all ages all the time advance in their journey with Christ 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related discipline, preferred but not required. 

• At least 2 years’ ministry experience, preferred. 

• Specialized training and/or experience as related to areas of essential function, preferred. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

This position operated in a professional office environment but may require the following physical demands: general lifting of materials up to 20 pounds, bending kneeling, carrying, walking, and using hands/fingers to handle items.  May include days where hours sitting at a computer are needed. Ability to acclimate to weather for outdoor events as needed.
