Job Description:

 

  1. Lead the planning and execution of bioprocessing applications studies to evaluate new products in a laboratory setting, analyzing data with timely interpretation and communication of results to project team, stakeholders, and sponsors.
  2. Understand and communicate the perspective of a bioprocessing end user including process design targets, performance expectations, competitive offerings, and technology gaps; suggest novel solutions and next steps for data acquisition to achieve these goals.
  3. Provide leadership in the area of upstream bioprocessing and cell culture with a particular focus on intensified and continuous processing with perfusion.
  4. Actively contribute on cross-functional teams that include R&D, Manufacturing, Product Management, Sales, Quality and Procurement to drive product ideas through development and validation to achieve successful commercialization.
  5. Create customer facing collateral to demonstrate the value of new solutions, including application notes, webinars, performance guides, etc.

 

Job requirements:

Employer requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, or a closely related field.  Candidate must also have the following:

 

  1. One year of experience working as part of a research and development team for life science products;
  2. Demonstrated ability working with biomanufacturing process development gained through participation in at least one project;
  3. Demonstrated ability working with mammalian cell culture, bioreactor operation,

filtration, and continuous biomanufacturing gained through completion of at least three projects;

  1. Demonstrated ability independently leading projects to deliver results and meet

project milestones gained through completion of at least one project; and

  1. Demonstrated ability communicating scientific data effectively with peers, customers, vendors and stakeholders through written reports, oral presentations and timely discussion gained through completion of at least three written reports, three oral presentations or a combination of written reports and oral presentations totaling at least three.

 

All years of experience, project completion, reports and presentations may be gained concurrently.
