Job Description

Introduction/Purpose:

Sobi is currently seeking a Director, Pricing & Analysis to our Contracts & Pricing team. This position is accountable for developing detailed reports of discount expenses (rebates and chargebacks) related to all market access channels for use in the P&L for BUDGET, MRP, and LEs. This position will focus heavily on ensuring that commercial and government price calculations and associated discounts are properly forecasted/allocated across the commercial/government segments for all products. This position will also complete detailed analysis to understand changes/impact with government programs and government price reporting obligations (i.e.- AMP, BP, ASP, IRA/Medicare, and 340B) and the impact of such changes on each product’s financial performance and future pricing strategies.

Key Responsibilities/Scope of the Job:

 

  • Analyze Market Access Channels, specifically related to rebates/chargebacks, market share, volume, sales, and profitability for all contracted commercial and government contracts for the BUDGET, MRP, and LE processes. This includes developing current/future discount profiles for on-market, as well as launch/pipeline products. Output from this effort represents the largest cost contained in Sobi’s net sales build and incorporated directly into the overall BUDGET financial statements.
  • Partner and collaborate with Finance colleagues to assist in the forecasting and budget processes. Ensuring that the channel discounts (as well as accruals) are accurately depicted for all commercial/government rebates, government programs, and chargebacks.
  • Engage and partner with direct counterparts within CEIO, Finance, and Marketing to gain support for and ensure alignment on key business issues.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within Market Access (including customer facing account teams) to identify, understand, and incorporate any amendments to contract terms/formulary requirements as well as new or expiring contracts.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to conduct any policy related analytics, including IRA, 340B, Rebate Stacking Rule, and future policies that impacts SOBI business.
  • Perform high-level strategic and financial analysis for all market access contracts. Tasks include a wide-range of scenario analyses, variance analyses, sensitivity analyses, best price impact analyses, and other insightful ad-hoc analyses.
  • Distill and package these complex market access pricing/analyses outcomes into a concise story line for communication to senior departmental/commercial leadership (including members of the Pricing Committee).
  • Provides input to Pricing Committee based on benchmark products, market dynamics, and any impact for commercial/government contracts.
  • Develop and communicate reporting techniques/tools emphasizing trend analysis as it relates to strategy development, contract performance, and compliance.
  • Work to Identify and recommend opportunities for efficiency in contract data collection and reporting methodologies to make them more automated and systematic.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years of biopharmaceutical business experience in quantitative analysis and/or financial analysis is required.
  • In-depth, highly technical, analytical skills, and an aptitude for understanding complex business issues in a constant changing reimbursement environment.
  • High proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint is required.
