Job Description Summary

The inventory manager will have primary responsibility for Global UCC inventory management. This role requires a natural leader and facilitator who is driven, analytical, critical thinker, detail and action oriented, organized, and enjoys developing business processes. This position will own supply chain activities across the Global UCC business unit to optimize inventory, minimize cost, and achieve customer service goals collaboratively with Platform Leaders, Operations Partners, Regions, and Supply Chain Team. Key responsibilities include global inventory projection for both plants and regions, ensuring global BU inventory is meeting quarterly and fiscal year budget targets, collaborating with regional platform leaders and supply chain partners to ensure the optimal inventory levels are met and aligned with platform needs to best serve our customers, lead optimization initiatives to improve planning parameters, gather data and help prepare monthly presentations for inventory reviews to leadership. The inventory manager will work extensively across silos with associates from different functional areas and will help drive optimal inventory cash flow.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and recommend improvements to planning parameters at finished good and raw material level to drive action and optimize inventory/service commitments

  • Collaborates & aligns with cross functional partners (sales, operations, finance, planning, etc.) across all regions on finished good stocking levels and ensures alignment with service commitments and FY inventory targets

  • Lead Inventory Projection and budget process working collaboratively with Regions, Plants, Supply Chain, and Finance to deliver an accurate inventory projection and budget that aligns with Segment

  • Works extensively with plants to ensure latest supply plan meets inventory commitments and any risks are escalated/called out during monthly S&OP process

  • Ensures volume variances at plant level driven by inventory changes are documented and action is taken to mitigate impact on FY Budget

  • Drive Monthly E&O Reserve Process working with Cross Functional Partners to mitigate E&O, scrap, rework and provide inventory disposition

  • Drive and recommend action for E&O/Overstock reduction through standard process and channels. Leads monthly E&O meeting with planning team to document root cause, drivers, assumptions to top 80% of E&O reserves

  • Lead and drive all Inventory Management Activities and Processes that meets weekly, and monthly cadences for both regions and plants

  • Collaborate with platform leads and supply chain partners on Recode items to document potential impacts and executes actions need to meet inventory commitment

  • Provide MTS to MTO & SKU Rationalization Recommendations

  • Support key projects as needed

Collaboration

  • Collaborates with cross functional partners in Region, Planning, Operations, Procurement, commercial partners and sales team to optimize inventory within each partners platform

  • Works collaboratively with cross functional partners to lead and execute key projects in support of BU ambitions

  • Coordinates, facilitates, and documents scheduled monthly meetings and actions/output

Master Data

  • Owns and manages all master data related to inventory parameters

  • Recommends and implements master data updates in support of inventory strategy

  • Ensures any master data errors/discrepancy are fixed in a timely manner and aligned with current planning parameters

Performance Tracking/Analysis

  • Implements standard working processes to control, track, and measure accuracy of inventory across all regions and plants in units, $$ , and days

  • Utilize Kinaxis to deliver an accurate inventory projection for all regions and plants

  • Leverage existing tools to measure accuracy of projection vs actuals and enable continuous improvement to e
