VASS, in partnership with the European Commission, is currently seeking a talented Business Analyst to work remotely from the EU.

Job Responsibilities

Project Manager Support:

• Collaborate closely with the project manager of the iCoCo tool and the related activities. 
• Follow-up the cost control and reporting activities. 

Requirements Gathering: 

• Engage with stakeholders and users to understand their needs, pain points, and expectations. 
• Document detailed requirements that outline what the product or service should deliver. 

Draft Functional Requirements: 

•  Translate business requirements into clear, actionable specifications for the development team. 
• Define how the system should behave under specific conditions. 

Validate Dashboards and Reports:

• Ensure the accuracy and functionality of dashboards and reports. 
• Verify that data visualizations align with business goals and provide meaningful insights. 

Collaborate and Onboard Service Providers: 

• Work closely with DIGIT service providers from the various units. 
• Facilitate smooth collaboration and define how the data will be integrated in the iCoCo tool.

Assist Customers with Data Questions and Issues: 

• Address user inquiries related to reported data. 
• Troubleshoot issues, provide clarifications, and guide users toward effective data utilization. 

Ad-Hoc Reporting for Stakeholders: 

• Create customized reports based on specific stakeholder requests. 
• Extract relevant insights from large datasets to support decision-making

Job Requirements 

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis from databases.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Business Intelligence (BI) tools for data visualization and manipulation.
• Experience with developing applications in cloud environments, particularly the AWS Cloud.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications effectively.
• Skilled in delivering both business and technical presentations.
• Excellent communication skills, adept at communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to write clear and structured technical documents.
• Comfortable participating in technical meetings and possessing excellent communication skills.

CERTIFICATIONS & STANDARDS: 

•  A BI tool related certification ( e.g. Power BI Data Analyst) 
• Or a Business Analysist related certification (e.g. ECBA/CCBA/CBAP, PMI-PBA, CPRE) 
• Or an AWS or Microsoft Azure data analytics certification.
