Pendulum® is on a mission to help people improve physical and mental health by creating a new category of products that target the microbiome. We are researching, developing and commercializing a novel class of Live Synbiotics™ (probiotics + prebiotics) that have demonstrated clinical efficacy to treat conditions like metabolic syndrome, inflammation and neurodegeneration. 
Pendulum has created proprietary pipelines to build a unique discovery platform that identifies key, novel bacterial strains and the prebiotics that feed them.

Position Summary: Pendulum is seeking a Director of Product Marketing to shape and execute our product marketing strategy. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Operations, Clinical, Analytics, Regulatory and Finance, you will develop a robust product pipeline of next generation products and use your expertise in market analysis, customer insights, and go-to-market strategies to drive revenue growth and leadership in the probiotics category.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the consumer and the health and probiotic markets in order to set the brand’s innovation and product strategy and develop a multi-year product roadmap for the company.
  • Work closely with cross functional counterparts to develop a robust and efficient method of concepting new product ideas and then vetting and prioritizing them.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape, and translate these insights into actionable product strategies.
  • Work cross functionally to develop new products: identifying formulation, determining manufacturability, building claims, and designing packaging, with an eye towards favorable unit economics.
  • Develop product positioning, messaging, and differentiation that resonates with target customers and will maximize sales and drive leadership in the market.
  • With the Brand and Growth Marketing teams, lead the development of go-to-market plans for new product launches, including target audience definition, pricing and distribution strategies among others.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance metrics and market trends to identify opportunities for optimization and growth post launch.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive developments to ensure our products remain competitive in the market.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in product marketing, preferably in the consumer health sector.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex market dynamics and synthesize them into actionable plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical  or scientific concepts and value propositions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing go-to-market strategies for new products.
  • Proficient in market research methodologies and competitive analysis.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving measurable business outcomes.
