Summary

Focuses upon skin care and prevention of skin breakdown in patients. Facilitates nursing management of patients with acute or chronic wounds and wound vacuum assisted closure (V.A.C) dressing.Three to five years of clinical practice. Must be articulate and capable of teaching on a one-to-one level and with groups. Must have demonstrated teaching ability.Good general health. Able to see patient's reactions to instruction, lecture (speak), and hear questions from colleagues and patients. Able to transport and manipulate equipment. Position may involve skin, eye, mucous membrane, or parenteral contact with blood or other potentially infectious material.
