Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Business Analyst to join our Infor Mongoose platform development team. Mongoose is Infor’s rapid application development platform that powers multiple enterprise applications across Infor. This role is critical in shaping the platform’s capabilities by translating business and product needs into clear, actionable requirements for engineering teams. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will work closely with product management, architects, engineering leads, UX designers, and application teams to ensure the Mongoose platform evolves in alignment with customer needs, scalability goals, and long-term platform strategy.

A Typical Day in the Life Includes:

Partner with product management and platform leadership to understand business goals, platform strategy, and customer needs.
Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements for platform capabilities.
Translate product vision into clear user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure requirements are well understood and technically feasible.
Facilitate backlog grooming, design discussions, and cross-functional reviews.
Analyze the impact of platform changes on existing applications, integrations, and customers.
Support platform modernization initiatives including cloud, extensibility, workflow, and mobile enablement and ensure requirements address scalability, performance, security, and upgrade safety.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience as a Business Analyst or Product Analyst in enterprise software development.
Experience working with platform or framework-based products.
Proven ability to author clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
Understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Ability to work effectively with complex, technically sophisticated systems.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to Developer Experience (DX) concepts, including APIs, SDKs, tooling, and overall platform usability for developers.
Understanding of integration patterns such as REST APIs, event-driven architectures, messaging, and third-party integrations.
Experience defining requirements for cloud-safe extensibility models, including extensions, metadata-driven customization, and configuration-based approaches.
Familiarity with security, isolation, and upgrade-safe extension strategies in multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
Experience with application development platforms or low-code / no-code frameworks.
Familiarity with cloud-based SaaS architectures and multi-tenant environments.
Exposure to ERP, manufacturing, or complex enterprise domain systems.
Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, or AWS.
