Essential Duties

1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the payroll department, including the processing of semi-monthly payrolls and related reports; ensure the accuracy of payroll information through review, audit, and analysis of employee time sheets, payroll records and reports.

2. Maintain payroll system, including data entry, updating of employee information, and maintenance of electronic time tracking records; Answer questions and provide customer service to internal and external customers regarding payroll matters.

3. Ensure payroll is processed timely and accurately in accordance with federal, state and local regulations; ensure compliance with payroll-related regulations regarding wage garnishments, taxes and other deductions.

4. Maintain the confidentiality of all employee information and payroll records.

5. Train and support Premier managers with billing and payroll needs; use system data and critical thinking skills to recommend tools and solutions to Premier staff as needed.

6. Oversee accounts payable processing related to employee reimbursements and other payroll-related expenses.

7. Direct the twice-monthly export and review of billable hours from the timekeeping system, manage the billing and payroll process to ensure timely and accurate submission of billings and related payroll.

8. Supervise timely communication with internal management and external community partners to address billing exceptions, eligibility errors, and corrections to ensure Premier is paid for services rendered.

9. Actively identify both over and under-billing of services and review related payroll impacts to ensure Premier acts in good faith and with sound financial judgement.

10. Oversee accounts receivable related to billings and reconciliation of direct deposits into Premier’s business account.

11. Continuously refine existing processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and usability of outputs; recognize and develop opportunities to build new processes or implement new systems.

12. Recognize and develop skills and proficiencies within the billing & payroll team; build strong relationships within the team and encourage growth which supports our mission.

13. Collaborate with Accounting leadership to develop and implement internal controls and other tools to promote the accuracy of financial reporting.

14. Stay current with all Federal and State laws, guidelines, regulations pertaining to the Billing, and Payroll Departments.

Premier offers:

· Paid 1st and 16th of the month

Requirements

Education and Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field (Preferred).
