Behavior Technician
Grand Junction, CO
One Part-Time Position. Up to 29 hours per week.
Flexible hours throughout the week, but likely morning and early afternoon during high-priority times.
Hiring Range: $19.00 - $20.71/ hr., depending upon education and experience.

• Consistent rate of pay-no reduction for administrative tasks

Minimum Requirements
Required:
1. High School diploma or equivalent, minimum age 18.
Preferred:
1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field and/or enrolled in a BCBA program.
2. Experience with behavior interventions at hire.
3. Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) certification at hire.

Position Summary
Behavior technicians work directly with adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, to increase their quality of life by reducing challenging behaviors using Applied Behavior Analysis. Technicians work 1:1 or in small groups while following structured behavior intervention plans and work in homes, day program, community and clinical settings under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Implement behavioral services for adults in services, under the guidance of the BCBA, aiming to reduce challenging behaviors and enhance quality of life.
2. Track progress of behavioral services implemented through daily data collection and documentation.
3. Maintain consistent and effective communication with staff and service providers.
4. Assist members receiving services by conducting assessments and providing behavioral training as needed, under the supervision of the BCBA.
5. Provide transportation for members receiving services, as needed.
6. Ensure compliance with all regulations, including the Behavior Analyst Certification Board Code of ethics.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
1. Must work closely with other Ariel programs.
2. Performs other duties as assigned.
