Packaging Area Leader
Are you ready to be the driving force behind packaging excellence and continuous improvement at our Clinton Plant? This critical leadership role will see you Owning the overall performance of the packaging production and autonomous maintenance functions. You will directly develop and focus resources to optimize safety, quality, and efficiency, while also managing key elements like scheduling and material flow. Influencing plant-wide success, you will establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure top-tier reliability and product quality, making a measurable impact on our operational cost per pound.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the packaging area production and autonomous maintenance to drive continuous improvement initiatives—such as ROI analysis and Continuous Improvement Plans (CIP)—to enhance plant performance, asset reliability, and reduce manufacturing variances in Packaging and Manufacturing Services.
- Provide coaching and development focusing on enhanced efficiencies and timely support for plant operations.
- Establish and maintain effective performance measurement (KPIs) and Shop Floor data systems, tracking performance and recommending data-driven actions to optimize quality, reliability, and cost per pound.
- Manage the operational flow of production while supporting quality assurance and food safety initiatives to ensure plant floor adherence to all policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Develop and implement employee training programs and optimization plans for the Packaging department, encompassing safety, throughput, yield, quality, cost, etc.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business related field, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering, etc.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or operations.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as an Operations Team Leader or in a food-related production environment.
- Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC), CPk, and Continuous Improvement Methodologies.
- Experience with SAP systems and the ability to use data for production planning.
- Demonstrated proficiency in presentation skills and an understanding of financial measures.
- Experience using Continuous Improvement Tools and Return on Investment (ROI) analysis.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $94,000.00 - $126,500.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
