This is a full time exempt position Mon-Fri, 8-5 at Scripps Carmel Valley Clinic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for outpatient clinical services, ensuring efficient, high-quality patient care delivery.
  • Partner with practice management and departmental leaders to drive strategic planning initiatives and support the growth, development, and productivity of physician practices and non-physician staff.
  • Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, resource allocation, and cost management, to meet organizational goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop managers, supervisors, and team leads to ensure smooth daily operations and a high-performing work environment.
  • Champion service excellence by enhancing both internal collaboration and the overall patient experience.
  • Ensure consistent achievement of quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, and performance standards.
  • Foster clear and effective communication across departments to support operational alignment and organizational priorities.

Qualifications

 

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

  • Four years of direct management experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Ability to effectively direct healthcare business and operational practices.
  • Ability to develop long-term plans for healthcare operations.
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applicable systems.
     

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

  • Progressive ambulatory operations leadership experience, ideally overseeing multi-specialty clinic environments 
  • Experience with Epic (including operational reporting and workflow optimization)
  • Lean or Value by Design methodologies and leading through complex change initiatives is s
