What You’ll Be Doing:

Evolent is seeking an experienced health care Director/Senior Director of Product Management to help Evolent partner with provider organizations to integrate value-based medical oncology care opportunities into physician, nurse, pharmacist, and staff workflows within their Electronic Medical Record (EMR). You will be a part of a cross-functional Evolent team that serves as a pivotal strategic partner to health systems and oncology practice groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive EMR-first Value-Based Care Enablement Strategy
    • Conduct thorough assessments of existing medical oncology workflows and EMR configurations for each Evolent provider partner organization alongside provider partner staff for the most common EMRs in medical oncology (e.g., Epic, Flatiron Health, Cerner, iKnowMed).
    • Develop strategies for embedding Evolent's value-based care opportunities into provider, nurse, pharmacist, and practice staff workflows for each unique Evolent provider partner organization and EMR instance.
    • Define reporting and analytic needs and enablement strategies to understand the effectiveness of various value-based care opportunities and continually improve Evolent’s and provider partners’ ability to measure and drive cost and quality outcomes.
    • Create and continually enhance 'playbooks' for each EMR vendor that can be used to accelerate implementation of value-based care opportunities for each subsequent Evolent provider partner organization with the same EMR vendor.
  • Partner with Evolent Engineering to define and build EMR integration capabilities
    • Where necessary, partner with Evolent Engineering to define, prioritize, and build technology to integrate with provider EMRs, focusing on scalable, EMR-agnostic integration approaches that leverage industry standards like CDS hooks, and SMART on FHIR.
    • Serve as the voice of the provider and their staff in technology requirements definition and design conversations, ensuring that Evolent value-based care opportunities are presented to end-users in a way that enhances their daily workflows and does not distract or degrade their ability to efficiently deliver high-value care to their patients.
    • Work with Evolent provider partners to efficiently integrate Evolent’s technology into their EMRs to deliver insights and measure outcomes at the point of care.
  • Support Provider Partner Growth Opportunities
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on value-based care enablement for medical oncology and support partnership conversations with prospective provider partners alongside the Evolent Growth team and other Evolent subject matter experts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master's degree in Nursing, Pharmacy, or a related field preferred.
  • At least five years of health care technology Product Management experience, ideally focused on provider-facing technology, including EMR development, enablement, and technology integration.
  • Strong demonstrated understanding of physician, nurse, and pharmacist personas, ‘jobs to be done’ and practice workflows, with a preference for expertise in medical oncology practice workflows
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences (clinicians, engineering, administrative staff, leadership).
  • Hands-on experience with multiple EMR systems commonly used in oncology, including Epic, Flatiron Health, Cerner, and iKnowMed is preferred.
  • Experience with Epic's Beacon (Oncology Management) module, including build, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting is preferred.
  • Experience with Lean/Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a consulting role within health care technology is preferred.
