Advanced HVAC Technician

<p>We are seeking an experienced <strong>Advanced HVAC Technician</strong> to join our facilities maintenance team. For information about ABM’s benefits, visit <a href="https://wpe-media.abm.com/wp-content/uploads/AnnualBenefitFlyers/Recruiting%20Flyer%20-%20Frontline.pdf" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Recruiting Flyer - Frontline</a></p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and mechanical systems.</li><li>Diagnose and repair chillers, boilers, cooling towers, air handlers, rooftop units, pumps, VAV systems, heat pumps, and refrigeration equipment.</li><li>Troubleshoot electrical components, motors, VFDs, control circuits, and HVAC control systems.</li><li>Monitor and maintain Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS).</li><li>Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability.</li><li>Complete work orders, maintenance records, and equipment documentation using a CMMS.</li><li>Respond to emergency equipment failures and restore systems safely and efficiently.</li><li>Coordinate with contractors during repairs and equipment upgrades.</li><li>Mentor and provide technical guidance to less-experienced technicians.</li><li>Follow all OSHA, EPA, company, and site safety policies.</li></ul> <p><strong>Required</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>5+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience.</li><li>EPA Section 608 Certification.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting skills involving HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems.</li><li>Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.</li><li>Valid driver's license (where required).</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>HVAC/R journeyman or equivalent certification.</li><li>State or local HVAC license.</li><li>Boiler operator or stationary-engineer license.</li><li>Experience with centrifugal or screw chillers.</li><li>Experience with Building Automation Systems.</li><li>Experience with industrial or large commercial facilities.</li><li>Experience with CMMS systems such as Maximo, Corrigo, or similar platforms.</li><li>Electrical or controls certification.</li><li>Experience supervising or mentoring maintenance personnel.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to work indoors and outdoors in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and industrial environments.</li><li>Climb ladders, lift equipment, and perform physical work throughout the day.</li><li>Participate in on-call or after-hours emergency response as needed.</li></ul> <p></p> <div> ABM (NYSE: ABM) is one of the world’s largest providers of integrated facility, engineering, and infrastructure solutions.
