Job Description

Position Summary:

The Warehouse Technician II is a dedicated and reliable person responsible for personally handling material inventories, goods-in activities, and related operations in Petaluma. You will meet and advance the growing demands of LGC's supply chain management and organization following ISO 9001 and 13485 GMP standards. Join us in contributing significantly to our operations!

Areas of Responsibility:

While mentorship would come from management, the Warehouse Technician II would primarily work independently, focusing on tasks involving warehouse operations, organization, and inventory management.

Essential Functions:

  • Support all inventory and warehouse-related tasks in Petaluma.
  • Work within a Goods Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment to uphold GMP and ISO 13485 standards.
  • Provide support to Receiving (Goods-In) and other Warehouse Inventory staff, working in tandem with them.
  • Address opportunities involving purchased and manufactured goods, and support solution builds related to Receiving & Inventory processes.
  • Support stockroom inventory and ordering requests, adhering to Lean and FIFO inventory management practices.
  • Apply inventory tracking systems and review levels of supplies.
  • Support robust cycle counting functionalities.
  • Work daily with cross-functional teams including EHS, Facilities, Procurement, Production, Material Handling, and Operations.
  • Support Quality Control and Assurance in the release of inbound materials.
  • Manage the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the warehouse and production floor inventory shelving areas to meet 5S and OSHA standards.
  • Ensure that relevant equipment is applied and maintained efficiently.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with both internal & external customers.
  • Stock inventory to assigned locations using manual and barcode scanning methods.
  • Support supply chain Lean methods, and proactively work to resolve bottlenecks.
  • Adhere to existing SOP documentation to ensure Inventory and Receiving processes are in line with business needs.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Schedule/Core Hours – Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with potential for added hours as the workload requires. As an Exempt (salaried) position, overtime pay is not included.
  • Adhere to company Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) policy.
  • Heavy use of ERP, MES, and desktop work.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with inventory management
  • HS degree or comparable experience
  • Regular use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word
  • Use of a web browser
  • ERP system familiarity; FMP and/or IFS a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy of work
  • Flexibility to changing operating conditions
  • Ability to influence performance and team development
  • Prioritization and delegation of daily/weekly tasks
  • Daily use of computers in an ERP setting
  • Solid knowledge of data analysis, inventory management software, and forecasting techniques
  • Enthusiastic great teammate with outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Capable of working autonomously, self-motivated
  • Skilled at operating in a rapid and fluid work setting
  • Able to lift 40lbs.
  • Kanban familiarity
  • HAZWOPER certification is an advantage
  • Familiarity with forklift operation suggested, certification beneficial
  • Warehouse environment experience a plus
