NewsNation - Technical Assistant - Part-time

NewsNation is currently seeking a creative, experienced and proactive part-time Technical Assistant to join our team at the New York Bureau. As a Technical Assistant, you will work in different control room and studio positions.

The Technical Assistant’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•Involvement in all daily show technical procedures – assisting the Operations team in all stages of production

•Work closely with technical crew in all non-union regulated areas

•Operate teleprompter for NewsNation NY studio shows

•Assist with in-studio & remote guests as needed

•Assist Technical Manager with administrative tasks as assigned

• Fill in on control room and studio positions as needed

Qualifications:

• Prior control room and studio experience in broadcast facilities

• Knowledge of ENPS helpful

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Office)

• Commitment to being a self-starter who proactively seeks out tasks and opportunities for growth

• Excellent communication skills in a fast-paced environment are a must

• Must have the ability to handle multiple projects or assignments with attention to detail

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Timing of shifts may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays

with overtime as situations demand.

This is an IBEW position and membership is required.

Salary Range: $38.00 - $42.00 Hourly
