About the job you’re considering
We are seeking Wi-Fi Test Engineers to join our team supporting our client’s device testing initiatives. This is an onsite role in Sunnyvale, CA, working directly at the client office due to heavy dependency on lab infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Wi-Fi protocol testing, debugging, and automation.
Your role
- Develop and execute test plans for Wi-Fi features including connectivity, throughput, roaming, and power management.
- Perform protocol-level testing across 802.11 standards (a/b/g/n/ac/ax).
Conduct interoperability testing with various access points and client devices. - Use tools like Wireshark, IxChariot, Octoscope, and AirMagnet for analysis and debugging.
- Automate test cases using Python or similar scripting languages.
- Log defects, analyze root causes, and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
- Maintain detailed documentation of test results and procedures.
Your skills and experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Wi-Fi testing.
- Strong understanding of 802.11 protocols and RF behavior.
- Experience with Wi-Fi test tools (Wireshark, Octoscope, etc.).
- Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for automation.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
