Safety:

  • Involves family/guardian in the assessment, initial treatment and continuing care of the patient. 

  • Identifies any physical limitations of the patient and deploys intervention when necessary.

  • Interprets population related data and plans care appropriately.

Staffing to maintain competence and provide coverage:
  • Maintain staffing component within Medication Access Services 

  • Assume responsibilities for other administrative and leadership personnel during temporary or planned vacancies within the area(s) of responsibility

Coordinate and direct operational activities with the area of responsibility:
  • Assign staffing duties and responsibilities; regulate staffing based on planned and unplanned needs; assist in scheduling of staff department wide. 

  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures relating to area of responsibility. 

  • Participate in department's performance improvement process. 

  • Develop, prepare, and maintain work/activity data and summary reports. 

  • Respond to the hospital's disaster plan.

Coordinate and give input on human resource activities within the area of responsibility:
  • Interview and recommend selected applicants for employment. 

  • Assist in personnel orientation, training, and development. 

  • Contribute to the evaluation of personnel performance both professional, technical, and clerical staff.

Education: Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree - Pharmacy. Preferred: PharmD and residency trainedLicense and Certification: Required current state of Ohio Licensure as a Registered Pharmacist. Preferred: Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties Certification for the specialty area of practiceYears of Experience: Minimum Required: 1 Year equivalent experience.Required Skills and Knowledge: Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods; work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staff; handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule; set priorities and solve problems; respond quickly to emergency requests; communicate effectively (orally and in writing), and assist in meeting the pharmaceutical care needs of the patient populations served by the organization. Join our team to BE UC Health.
