Assume responsibilities for other administrative and leadership personnel during temporary or planned vacancies within the area(s) of responsibility
Coordinate and direct operational activities with the area of responsibility:Assign staffing duties and responsibilities; regulate staffing based on planned and unplanned needs; assist in scheduling of staff department wide.
Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures relating to area of responsibility.
Participate in department's performance improvement process.
Develop, prepare, and maintain work/activity data and summary reports.
Respond to the hospital's disaster plan.
Coordinate and give input on human resource activities within the area of responsibility:Interview and recommend selected applicants for employment.
Assist in personnel orientation, training, and development.
Contribute to the evaluation of personnel performance both professional, technical, and clerical staff.
Education: Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree - Pharmacy. Preferred: PharmD and residency trained
License and Certification: Required current state of Ohio Licensure as a Registered Pharmacist. Preferred: Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties Certification for the specialty area of practice
Years of Experience: Minimum Required: 1 Year equivalent experience.
Required Skills and Knowledge: Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods; work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staff; handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule; set priorities and solve problems; respond quickly to emergency requests; communicate effectively (orally and in writing), and assist in meeting the pharmaceutical care needs of the patient populations served by the organization.
