The Position
Due to our growth, we are on the hunt for a Senior Research Associate, Exploratory Biology who will participate in exploring the mechanisms of disease biology and develop new Network MedicinesTM that will bring hope to patients with unmet medical needs. .
You will support the team in building robust translational packages focused on identifying relevant indications, evaluating target engagement and immune responses, as well as establishing pharmacodynamic and predictive biomarkers for Sonata’s lead drug candidates. You will be responsible for the development and execution of in vitro assays interrogating proof-of-concept and underlying biological mechanism of action for our therapeutics. - Contributing to the design of experimental plans for translational studies.

As an excellent candidate, you will possess…
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree and at least 3 years of relevant research experience is required, preferably focused disease biology.
- Expertise in mammalian cell culture techniques (3D culture experience desirable).
- Experience with cellular assays and standard molecular biology methods (Western blot, qPCR).
- Experience with IHC or basic histology is preferred
- Experience with HTS assay, tissue handling and testing therapeutics is preferred.
- A demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with highly skilled teams.
- The drive and time-management skills to efficiently support multiple projects in parallel while operating on ambitious timelines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
- The motivation to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment by being team-oriented, focused on execution, and responsive to company goals.
