The opportunity
Consumer Brand Marketing is the voice of our patients and care partners and ensures that we strategically build and grow successful consumer relationships. The Senior Manager is responsible for the evaluation of market conditions, identification of issues and opportunities within the therapeutic category to develop campaigns, which target patients and care partners aligned with the overarching brand strategies and objectives. The Senior Manager will work with internal and external partners to create strategic and operational plans to enable effective and efficient operations of the consumer engagement channels, increasing schizophrenia disease awareness and driving Consumer and Caregiver preference for the brand.
How you’ll spend your day
- Lead and execute consumer-focused brand promotion initiatives to drive brand and portfolio performance.
- Collaborate with agency partners to develop, execute, and evaluate tactical plans, while contributing to overall brand strategy and direction.
- Own creative messaging, field materials, and performance measurement across marketing activities.
- Support and manage communication channel activities, including both personal and non-personal promotion (NPP).
- Lead sponsorship initiatives with advocacy organizations focused on schizophrenia and mental health.
- Partner with the Patient Services team to develop and manage tactics and promotional materials supporting the patient HUB.
- Develop, execute, measure, and optimize marketing tactics aligned with established strategies and KPIs.
- Partner with Market Research to translate insights into effective planning, messaging, and tactical execution.
- Analyze and synthesize market insights to inform data-driven decision-making.
- Lead and manage the promotional material review and approval process.
- Ensure alignment with internal policies and external codes of conduct at both the organizational and individual levels.
Your experience and qualifications
Education/Certification/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical experience is required
- A minimum of 2 years of pharmaceutical consumer marketing experience or equivalent is required
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Strong pharmaceutical industry knowledge and therapeutic area business acumen.
- Experience and understanding of all media and non-personal promotion components that support the building of a diverse consumer branded and unbranded promotional plan
- Patient and / or caregiver journey mapping to strategy and tactical plan development
- Able to draw insights from variety of sources, understand markets and competition. Compiles relevant data from appropriate sources and performs analysis for the department. Synthesizes complex and diverse information, recognizes trends and/or interrelationships.
- Ability to meet objectives and deadlines, promote efficiency and effectiveness, and incorporate improvements and program return on investment (ROI).
- Project management experience and the ability to manage and coordinate projects with multiple internal stakeholders and vendors.
- Excellent verbal, written, organization and interpersonal skills required.
- Versed in MS Office tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
Travel Requirements: Approximately 25% domestic travel throughout the US and Canada.
Compensation Data
The annual starting salary for this position is between $129,000 – 168,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting salary within this range and level of role may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
