JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Data Integration Specialist is responsible for architecting, developing, and optimizing data integration solutions that consolidate diverse sources into a centralized enterprise data warehouse. This role enables cross-system analytics and ensures high data quality, governance, and accessibility through the use of Azure, Databricks, and Power BI. The position also plays a key role in advancing the firm’s data maturity by promoting analytics adoption and data literacy across departments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Key Responsibilities
- Engineer and maintain enterprise-wide data integration pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and other Azure services.
- Consolidate data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 and third-party systems into a centralized data warehouse.
- Develop and publish Power BI reports and dashboards that integrate multiple data sources.
- Create semantic data models to support self-service business intelligence.
- Apply data governance protocols, validation checks, and documentation standards across data flows.
- Enable analytics access and collaboration using Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
- Provide training and share best practices to increase adoption of data tools and literacy across business units.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong proficiency in SQL, data modeling (star/snowflake schemas), and building ETL/ELT pipelines.
- In-depth experience with Azure cloud services (Data Factory, Synapse, Blob Storage, Logic Apps) and Databricks.
- Advanced Power BI skills including DAX, Power Query, and visualization best practices.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 data structures and integration methods.
- Understanding of data governance principles and ability to apply them to integration workflows.

- Describe how this role analyzes problems and creates effective solutions. Uses structured approaches to troubleshoot and optimize complex data pipelines.
- Identifies inefficiencies or risks in current data flows and recommends solutions aligned with business goals.
Business Impact and Scope
- Ensures accurate, timely, and unified data delivery to support strategic decision-making.
- Develops scalable solutions that directly influence financial and operational reporting.
Communication and Collaboration
- Collaborates with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to align data solutions with organizational needs.
- Communicates technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences to encourage data-driven culture.
Influence Responsibility/Level of Interaction
- Serves as a technical mentor on data integration best practices and tools.
- Encourages adoption of data standards and BI tools across departments.
Supervisory Responsibility and Autonomy
- Supervisory Responsibility: None formally; may mentor junior team members and act as technical lead on integration projects.
- Autonomy: Operates with a high degree of independence; expected to manage projects, set technical direction, and make decisions within the scope of data integration and analytics delivery.
