Apple’s Applied Machine Learning team has built systems for a number of large-scale data science applications. We work on many high-impact projects that serve various Apple lines of business. We use the latest in open source technology and as committers on some of these projects, we are pushing the envelope. Working with multiple lines of business, we manage many streams of Apple-scale data. We bring it all together and extract the value. We do all this with an exceptional group of software engineers, data scientists, SRE/DevOps engineers and managers. We are looking for software engineer with passion for building scalable platform to delight users. This role involves building platform and services to enable the full life cycle of ingestion, parsing, vectorization and serving of LLM models for several enterprise use cases at Apple.

Key Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a platform Software Development Engineer
• Scripting and programming skills in Java, Python, Go
• Excellent Automation skills and CI/CD pipeline experience is a plus
• Good understanding of microservice topologies and deployment patterns in the cloud Experience with cloud orchestration engines such as Kubernetes, Apache Mesos, or similar Ability to triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose a resolution
• Passion for software architecture, APIs and dedication extensible software
• Creative, collaborative, and product-focused
• Excellent communication skills

Description

This role involves building platform and services to enable the full life cycle of ingestion, parsing, vectorization and serving of LLM models for several enterprise use cases at Apple. Engineers will be working on cutting edge technologies to build the foundation of enterprise ML serving applications using the latest innovation in Generative AI in a cloud native architecture.

Education & Experience

BS/MS in computer science or related field with 10+ years of experience

Pay & Benefits

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700.00 and $300,200.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
