In the role of QA Engineer within the CooperSurgical R&D SaaS Development team, you will be central to enhancing user experience and the reliability of our SaaS offerings. This position encompasses rigorous quality assurance, both manual and automated, and fosters collaboration with our Tech Support, Customer Success, and Development teams. Your work will not only address immediate integration and verification challenges, but will also contribute to the continuous improvement of our quality processes, impacting the product's lifecycle and user satisfaction.
- Understand product requirements and create test plans to ensure comprehensive coverage and tracing back to requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Conduct comprehensive manual testing of our applications, identifying bugs and issues to ensure the highest quality of our product. Implement regression, functional, data validation, system integration, load, and performance testing for new and existing functionality.
- Collaborate with the development team to resolve identified issues and enhance product reliability. Document and analyze test results, recommend corrective action, communicate steps to reproduce behavior, and verify fixes.
- Design and develop test scenarios that exercise functionality.
- Effectively leverage automation to help reduce manual testing time.
- Develop, implement, and maintain automated regression suites.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our integration and testing processes.
- Support user acceptance testing conducted by business partners or end users.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- 3+ years working in a software development team focused on developing and maintaining customer-facing software products.
- 3+ years in software development, QA testing, or a similar technical role, demonstrating the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles and QA methodologies.
- Experience with scripting detailed automated tests cases, testing APIs and front-end web applications.
- Experience in modern testing automation methodologies, languages, and technologies (Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium WebDriver). Playwright experience is ideal.
- Experience with the CI/CD tools (GitLab, CircleCI, GitHub).
- Basic knowledge of Docker would be a plus.
- Experience in performance/load testing (ideally with k6).
- Strong proficiency in SQL and data analysis, with the ability to efficiently query and analyze data within SQL databases to support customer integrations, troubleshooting, and decision-making processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams.
- Adaptable and willing to take on a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- A passion for staying at the forefront of technology, continuously learning, and growing.
- Occasional domestic and international travel (~ 10%)
