In this region, more than 200 mobile network operators provide connections to 730 million unique subscribers. We use our combined expertise to give the mobile connectivity industry a single and powerful voice.</p><p></p><p></p><p>About the Role</p><p></p><p>The Senior Manager for EU Policy Relations is a new role within the team and will be fundamental in ensuring the successful delivery of our advocacy campaigns.</p><p></p><p>The Senior Manager will be at the centre of building key connections within the European institutions and ensuring that the GSMA positions are received by the relevant stakeholders.</p><p></p><p>The role will also strengthen GSMA’s visibility by identifying institutional engagement opportunities.</p><p></p><p>Your day-to-day responsibilities include to monitor the work of the EU Institutions, participate in relevant institutional meetings and prepare reports and briefing documents.</p><p></p><p>You will help to expand the GSMA network by building and maintaining relevant relations, you will also contribute to managing relations with relevant associations and third-party organizations.</p><p></p><p>You will work closely with the policy team and advise them on advocacy actions as well as support them with stakeholder mapping.</p><p></p><p>You will also support marketing team by helping with the organization of the GSMA advocacy events and meetings in Brussels, Strasbourg, Barcelona and other locations.</p><p></p><p></p><p>About You</p><p></p><p></p><p>You have a good understanding of the set-up and work of the EU institutions and the EU legislative process.</p><p></p><p>You have an experience of working in one of the EU institutions.</p><p></p><p>You have a good understanding of the key legislative files affecting the mobile industry today.</p><p></p><p>You have a good understand of advocacy practices in EU/Brussels ecosystem.</p><p></p><p>Excellent command of English. A working knowledge of at least another European language would be an asset.</p><p></p><p>You have excellent presentation skills, with an ability to influence stakeholders, negotiate shared objectives, and keep them accountable to commitments made.</p><p></p><p>To achieve results, you communicate timely and effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, adapting to different styles and working collaboratively towards agreed outcomes for projects.</p><p></p><p>Ability to work across different cultures with senior officials, policy professionals and other partners.</p><p></p><p>Ability to work independently, self-motivated, entrepreneurial and organised to deliver high impact outputs.
