Summary of Job Duties:

The Staff Scientist works independently and has sophisticated skills and knowledge essential to the work of the laboratory. He/She is capable of independently designing experiments and assisting one or more faculty members in results interpretation, publication, and faculty member pursuit of grant or other funding. The Staff Scientist does not have responsibilities for initiating new research programs or
individually submitting grant or other funding applications.

Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree in biomedical sciences, physiology, nutrition, bioenergetics, or related field plus 5+ years of relevant experience, including progressive staff and project management experience.

• Postdoctoral fellowship and experience assisting in grant-writing preferred.
