Work Performed:
· Diagnose complex electrical and electronic malfunctions using schematics, ladder logic, wiring diagrams, OEM documentation, and diagnostic software.
· Determine safe and effective methods to restore equipment functionality, including repair, adjustment, or component replacement.
· Perform functional and operational checkout of existing, modified, and newly installed systems prior to production release.
· Troubleshoot and repair CNC machine tool control systems, including servo drives, spindle drives, PLCs, HMIs, encoders, and industrial networks.
· Collaborate with engineering, production teams, IT, OEM representatives, and approved vendors to resolve complex mechanical/electrical issues and implement upgrades.
· Utilize electronic test equipment and computer-based diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, laptops, manufacturer-specific software) to analyze system behavior and identify root causes.
· Execute electrical repair and modification work, including installation or rerouting of wiring, connectors, sensors, relays, and control devices per engineering requirements.
· Support variable frequency drives (VFDs), PID loop control, motion control systems, safety circuits, and industrial communication protocols.
· Assist with calibration, adjustment, and tuning of equipment (excluding infrastructure) to ensure reliable operation.
· Perform electrical work for facility projects involving lighting, power distribution, and control systems; may include high-voltage systems where qualified.
· Document work performed and system changes in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
· Adhere to all safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements, including lockout/tagout and arc-flash protection.
· Perform routine and preventive maintenance activities, including cabinet filter changes, and inspection of electronic equipment condition per OEM recommendations and site standards.
· Maintain detailed records of repairs, root cause analysis, and recommended improvements for reliability tracking in the CMMS.
· Support TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance) practices by checking equipment and tooling before and after use.
· Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards, including AS9100 and government regulatory and contractual requirements.
