Food Service Worker - Phil's

St. Norbert College, a nationally-ranked, private, Catholic, liberal arts college is seeking part-time Food Service Workers for Phil's Grill & C-Store in the Ray Van Den Heuvel Campus Center.

The hours are a blend of Nights & Weekends with a highly flexible schedule.

Specific responsibilities:

• Prepare food including hot sandwiches, burgers, cold subs, etc.

• Use point-of-sale cash register.

• Prep food for future purchases & Grab N Go.

• Clean, sweep, mop, sanitize, and take out garbage and recycling.

• Rotate and arrange inventory within our C - Store. -

Perform additional duties as assigned and attend College required training. Regular attendance is required. Work in a manner that is aware of personal safety and the safety of others and observes safety, health and sanitation codes, regulations, or practices required by the College or governmental authority.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• 1-3 years of retail food and customer experience.

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

• Ability to interact professionally with coworkers and customers, particularly in conflict situations.

• Ability to communicate politely and resolve customer service issues.

• Ability to multitask, meet specific deadlines, and prioritize tasks and assignments.

• Skilled in basic math computations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

• Ability to concentrate and focus in a noisy environment.

• Basic knowledge of safe food handling and how to make products in such establishments is a plus.  Training provided.

• Ability to pass a post offer functional capacity test.
