Position Summary...

What you'll do...

We are seeking a manufacturing production supervisor for our Ready Case Beef Plant in Olathe, KS. This role will report to the Production Manager and is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a production facility, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently and safely by managing staff, coordinating production schedules, maintaining equipment, and enforcing safety regulations within a manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement production schedules to meet deadlines, manage workflow, and assign tasks to production team members.
  • Quality Control: Monitor production processes to ensure products meet quality standards, identify and address quality issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Staff Management: Supervise and train production staff, evaluate performance, provide feedback, and address employee concerns.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations, conduct safety inspections, and promote a safe working environment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper functioning of production machinery, identify and report equipment malfunctions, and coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track production metrics, analyze data, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to optimize efficiency.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and production delays.
  • Reporting: Generate reports on production progress, quality metrics, and performance to management.

Perferred qualification:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
