Data Specialist Intern (Hybrid, Summer 2025)

IQVIA is hiring a Data Specialist Intern for the Summer of 2025 in our Durham, NC office! Candidates must be local to the Durham office.

Description
Perform data analysis to automate processes, develop dashboards, and provide management with key metrics and KPI to support business operations.

Responsibilities:
•    Conduct statistical programming and data analysis using MS Excel, R.
•    Develops and maintains dashboard analytics datasets to visualize and construct metrics with data for analysis, ensuring data accuracy and consistency in line with business objectives.
•    Design and implement data models in Power BI to ensure data quality, scalability, and efficiency.
•    Develop and update documentation for dashboard processes, data flows, and system configurations.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide technical expertise in data analysis.
•    Continuously optimize dashboards and processes to improve performance and efficiency.
 

Qualifications:
•    Must be currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related field.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), PowerBi, Spotfire tool, and RStudio.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•    Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $31,900.00 - $53,100.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
