Job Description:
SUMMARY
The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for cycle-counting product daily and for creating actionable data and intelligence to assist in accurate inventory. This individual oversees tracking and analyzing inventory and developing protocols for loss mitigation. This person may travel periodically to our Dallas and Austin locations for cycle counts and physical inventories at least twice per year.
Essential Functions (This list may not include all duties as assigned):
- Assists in receiving of product accurately and efficiently in the San Antonio warehouse location
- Organizes and manages freight BOLs and freight claims with purchasing department
- Provides insight as the subject matter expert for all bin and inventory transactions in Victory
- Provide general support and assistance in resolving and researching inventory discrepancies
- Daily cycle counts within the San Antonio warehouse location to ensure 99.5% or greater bin accuracy
- Audits and update product labels for alcohol % within the company’s ERP system
- Photographs and uploads product labels into ERP system for the company’s RF scanning system
- Manages bin label printing, placement and organization within the San Antonio warehouse location
- Travels periodically to other Johnson Brothers locations for cycle count and inventory audits
- Assist with the coordination and participates in quarterly and bi-annual physical inventories in all locations
- Manages quarantined product, distributor transfers, vendor product recalls, and other miscellaneous issues for non-sellable inventory across all Maverick Beverage Company locations
- Oversees all product destruction requests and compliance with the TABC for all locations
- Picks, fulfills, and invoices Sales Order Will calls and sales rep sample orders
- Performs special projects as required
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Operations
- Responsible to perform all duties in a safe, clean and organized manner
Other:
- 20% average overnight travel is required of this position
- Must be able to travel within established geographic areas and travel throughout the state regularly
- Must have reliable transportation, hold a valid drivers’ license and meet company driving record & automobile insurance requirements
- The ability to frequently lift 35lbs and up to 50lbs occasionally
