About the role

THE ROLE: ProbablyMonsters is seeking a Senior Advanced Engineer to join our central Web/ DevOps team. You’ll join a small team building technology to support game teams. We focus on solving the hard problems once and building scalable solutions. You will work on internal tools, websites, CI/CD, developer experience, and more. WHO YOU ARE:

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Work with central and game teams to identify and eliminate inefficiencies in game development
Lead conversations, gather consensus, and drive adoption on important technical decisions spanning multiple teams
Design, develop, and document scalable APIs that are easy to use
Architect scalable, maintainable, secure, reliable, and extensible web applications
Collaborate with UX and design to implement internal web applications and systems with a level of polish typically reserved for customer facing efforts
Mentor and inspire teammates, and provide technical guidance across the engineering organization
Proactively identify improvements to our technology, architecture, and developer experience through comparison and research

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

6+ years of experience building web applications
3+ years of experience designing complex distributed applications using a RESTful microservices architecture
Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
Experience with technologies such as Svelte, React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, RESTful services, relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL), AWS, Docker, and Terraform
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to present complex technical information in a clear manner to peers, developers, product managers, and leaders

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, exempt (salaried) position.
