CFS is experiencing tremendous success, and we currently have openings for Senior Security System Installers who are team-oriented individuals possessing experience and/or training in electronic security systems. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with an acute attention to detail, while remaining customer focused is required.
CFS is seeking a Senior Security System Installation Technician. The candidate will support federal government programs efforts throughout CFS as well as our Parent Company (Convergint Technologies).
Job Description
This position reports to our Headquarter office located in the DC Metro area (Beltsville, MD). However, we service the entire metro area and typically you report to the job site and not the Beltsville office. This position is responsible for performing customer support activities involving the installation of complex security equipment and systems. Conducts on-site installation and testing of equipment to ensure proper working order. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives. Work is reviewed and measured based on meeting objectives and schedules.
Qualifications
This position requires the following qualifications:
- Current Secret or Top-Secret Clearance preferred
- Working knowledge and understanding of Access Control, Intrusion Detection and CCTV hardware and software
- Working knowledge and understanding of electrical principals
- Ability to read, interpret electrical and electro-mechanical schematics and architectural drawings.
- Communicate effectively with Project Managers and Project Engineers as well as other staff.
- Ability to effectively lead teams of technicians and subcontractors at customer sites. Must be able to interpret customer specs and relay information to installation teams.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with Access Control, Physical Security, Intrusion Detection and Video Management Systems. The more experience and ability, the better the pay.
- Hands on experience with Hirsch, Lenel, Software House and/or other similar access control systems is preferred by not required.

· Functional responsibilities may include situations requiring working alone or as part of an installation team in the conduct of an installation and/or services noted above.
· US Citizenship required for all positions. Candidates shall be able to obtain a US Government SECRET security clearance. The ability to obtain this SECRET security clearance will be contingent on continued employment.
