Instructional Assistant, Early Elementary School (NE) (2025-2026) - St. Mark School, Catonsville MD

St. Mark School, located in Catonsville, Maryland, is seeking qualified candidates for multiple early elementary instructional assistant positions for the 2024-2025 school year. Instructional assistants work directly with the classroom teacher and provide support for students both in and out of the classroom. This is a full time position.

Essential Functions 

• Work with small groups or one-on-one with students for enrichment or remediation 
• Monitor student work and activities as directed by teacher 
• Assist with classroom procedures and transitions 
• Provide administrative support for the teacher for classroom and instructional needs 
• Participate in the active supervision of students at all times to include arrival/dismissal, car line, recess, Cafeteria, etc. 
• Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional, empathetic and timely manner 
• Safely and actively supervise students both inside and outside of the classroom. 
• Participate in retreats, school committees and in-service learning opportunities as applicable 
• Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff and administration
• Integrate technology effectively into a 21st Century classroom

Position Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience working with children preferred
• Experience in a Catholic School setting is preferred
• Must be comfortable with technology to include GSuite Series, Google Classroom, Smartboards, etc.
• Must have a commitment to Catholic School education
• Employment is contingent upon acceptable results of a state and federal background check, completion of
• VIRTUS Training, and completion of all necessary paperwork.

Range: $20, Hourly
