Software Architect, Service Reliability and Operations

Thomson Reuters' Service Management organization is looking for a results-driven technology leader to join our Service Reliability and Operations team as a Software Architect. This key leadership role will drive technology decisions for projects that enhance the reliability, scalability, and performance of software solutions, focusing on products in the Tax, Audit, & Accounting business segment.

About the role:

• Technology Leadership: Design scalable technology solutions for long-term software application reliability and operational efficiency.

• Technology Partnership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems, define product and technology roadmaps, and ensure operational readiness for large-scale initiatives.

• Decision Making: Make informed, fact-based decisions that align with company goals.

• Effective Communication: Clearly articulate complex problems, concepts, and solutions to diverse audiences.

• Continuous Improvement: Drive productivity, software quality, and reliability improvements, fostering a culture of continuous learning and exploration of emerging technologies.
   

About you:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Computer Science or related technical degree preferred)

• 7+ years of experience in software development, reliability, and/or architecture

• Proven ability to set direction and inspire team members

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Broad understanding of distributed application systems and technology

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills​

• Experience with multiple development, platform, and infrastructure technologies (AI, Cloud platforms, Java, Tomcat, Spring, .NET, Linux, Windows, Relational Databases, Networking

• Experience with technology operations, programming, and/or scripting language

• Comfortable in fast-paced environments with complex technical and business challenges
