The Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games will be hosted in Los Angeles, California in 2028, returning to the United States for the first time in over 30 years. 2028 will be the first time LA hosts the Paralympic Games, creating an opportunity to expand awareness, understanding and inclusion of people with disabilities.

Senior Manager, Workforce Housing - Universities and Hotels

The Senior Manager, Workforce Housing – Universities and Hotels will lead the full implementation of LA28’s workforce accommodations program across two primary housing formats: university campuses and a defined inventory of pre-contracted hotel properties.  

This role carries primary responsibility for the delivery of over 6,000 workforce beds across eight universities, including institutions within the California State University (CSU) system, as well as Pepperdine, Occidental, and Loyola Marymount. The focus of the position, approximately 80–85% of its scope, is the execution and operationalization of Goods and Services Agreements (GSAs) with these campuses, transforming student residences into fully functional, hotel-grade accommodations for LA28’s workforce during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.  

In addition, this role will oversee the management of approximately 900 hotel rooms reserved for workforce use across both Games periods. While hotel contracts will be finalized by others, the Senior Manager will be responsible for rooming list coordination, occupancy tracking, allocation oversight, and servicing of these hotel rooms for Games-time operations.  

This position is central to the execution of LA28’s workforce housing experience and requires exceptional coordination across institutions, vendors, internal functional areas, and service delivery teams.  

This role reports to the Director, Housing Operations 

Key Responsibilities:

1. University Housing Delivery (Primary Scope)

  • Lead implementation of workforce accommodations at seven (7) universities, ensuring operational delivery across approximately 6,000+ beds.  
  • Act as the primary LA28 lead for executing campus-specific Goods & Services Agreements (GSAs), including oversight of housekeeping, linen service, reception, catering, security coordination, help desk support, and daily operations.
