About the role
You will work closely with our teams of doctors, nurses and logistics experts across our 26 assistance centres, 65 international medical clinics and a global network of 90,000 healthcare providers.
Your role will be to perform a telephone medical assessment of patients in order to provide appropriate medical advices, refer to selected providers and allow management that may involve medical transport.
This will take place in an international context and through the collection of medical, logistical and collateral histories pertaining to the medical event / incident. This medical assessment is used to provide tailored and relevant medical advice, referrals and complex medical case management which can also result in medical transportation using evidence-based medicine.
Your main tasks will be :
- Be responsible for effective and efficient medical management of assistance cases, compliance with contractual specificities, and internal procedures
- Ensure proper management of the medical and logistical arrangements necessary for the secure medical transport of clients
- Conduct bespoke travel risk assessments for clients
- Provide accurate guidance based on data related to medical conditions
- Arrange medical referral and/or admission of clients to physicians, healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Engage with international medical professionals and/or obtain medical reports for members who are being treated or hospitalized
- Liaise with commercial airline medical services or air ambulance providers for passenger medical clearance
- Focus on quality of service, ensuring that the highest possible levels are achieved for the customer.
- Be responsible for preparing customer specific reports to reflect active support case management
- Take responsibility for medical information published by the Support Center to ensure that consent and confidentiality are maintained in accordance with GDPR.
About you
- Graduated a diploma in Nursing and registered as General Nurse in Italy
- Consolidated experience in acute care (intensive care and/or emergency services) and broad medical knowledge
- Computer skills
- Very good customer service skills
- Ability to work in a team, apply procedures and manage emotions
- Excellent writing skills and written / verbal communication skills
- Excellent command of italian, english and french
