Senior Business Analyst (Hybrid Work)

<p>Join our agile distributed team of software engineers that builds, maintains and optimises experiences used by customers to interact with our client’s multiple sustainable energy products and services, thus transforming the way people use energy every day. <strong>The vision:</strong> <strong>making zero-carbon happen!</strong><br/></p><p>You will partner closely with subject matter experts, project managers, product managers and software engineers to deliver high-quality outcomes for our client's members, and play an active part in shaping business and technology change. </p><p>You will have hands-on experience as a Business Analyst having worked on a range of customer transformation and technical change projects. You’ll understand the importance of customer experience and business stability, and be able to simplify the complex whilst working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. </p><p><strong>Key responsibilities include:</strong><br/></p><ul> <li>Managing partners from entry-level to Head Of and ensuring the building of trusting relationships</li> <li>Ensuring that OVO delivers the best solutions and builds the best products for its members, aligned with our strategic goals</li> <li>Developing business cases for medium to large projects that clearly articulate the case for change, and accurately capture the costs and benefits of projects</li> <li>Assessing the impact of proposed changes to quickly understand what needs to be done, who needs to be involved, and the effort that’s needed to deliver</li> <li>Mapping and analysing customer journeys and business processes, to identify as-is and to-be states</li> <li>Eliciting, engineering and managing requirements throughout the project lifecycle</li> <li>Working with in-house and third-party development teams to translate your requirements into working software and user experiences</li> <li>Communicating complex or technical requirements in a simple, understandable way to stakeholders at all levels</li> <li>Working closely with Business Sponsors and their delegates to achieve acceptance of the captured user stories/requirements, to be business process design and delivered solution</li> <li>Using your verbal, visual and written skills to create high-quality outputs from high-level concept sketches to detailed technical diagrams</li> <li>Analysing and drawing insights from large datasets</li> <li>Playing a leading role in projects, ensuring delivery on time, cost and quality</li> <li>Actively participating in <strong>OVO’s change community</strong>, gaining knowledge, developing your business analysis skills and promoting a culture of collaboration.</li> <li>Sharing knowledge and participating in peer: peer coaching.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p>Our future colleagues should be <strong>passionate</strong> business analysts and <strong>trustworthy</strong> professionals, with an attitude of <strong>ownership</strong>, <strong>commitment t</strong>o deliver, a desire to make an<strong> impact</strong>, and a <strong>collaborative</strong> and <strong>problem-solving</strong> mindset.<br/></p><p>The following key skills and experience are required:</p><ul> <li>5+ years of proven track record in performing business analysis in an agile/SCRUM software development environment. Hands-on experience in understanding complex business requirements, software development lifecycle and quality assurance processes.
