Responsibilities
Generic
Develop and defend Yara’s profitable business base in the country or region while maintaining positive growth and good profitability.
Implement the identified commercial strategy with a strong focus on both the farmer and the crop, developing an aligned base of distributors and value chain partners.
Contribute to Yara's scale and excellence by actively participating in achieving regional and global synergies between markets.
Represent the company to authorities, customers, suppliers, and media.
Lead a management team that ensures the strategy for the region/country.
Ensure alignment with Yara’s overall strategy and interests.
Drive aligned working disciplines in the region for key crops/segments.
Coordinate Yara’s commercial activities in the assigned region to achieve targets such as the Business Plan in total volume by crops, area, product family, and planned and Premium contributions.
Support the implementation of agricultural solutions initiatives.
Identify, develop, and deliver profitable growth opportunities for Yara’s portfolio with a special focus on Premium Products. Lead a sales team, developing and training them. Monitor, review, and incentivize inventory sales to improve inventory days.
Understand the market, gather, develop, compare, and distribute information, tools, analysis, and support to the field team.
Support customer prospecting in the region, visit customers, and identify their needs to ensure good advice and business closure, always seeking customer loyalty.
Execute marketing activities according to the assigned area, including field days, organizing technical talks (demand generation activities).
Ensure monthly sales by providing accurate forecasts to ensure product availability for sale, working synchronously with the agronomy team.
Obtain firm decisions in favor of Yara’s business (sales strategies, clearing old inventory, reporting expenses).
Work very closely with other areas such as Agronomy, Supply, Finance, HESQ, etc.
Plan and execute the expense budget, seeking rational and effective use of allocated resources.
Defend, protect, and promote organizational culture, values, and reputation among customers, suppliers, and partners.
Improve company performance and promote equality and diversity as part of the organization’s culture.
Ensure Yara’s health, environment, safety, and protection standards are met for the entire commercial team.
Participate in the Price Committee to manage the product pricing list (depending on the country).
HESQ
Know and comply with the Policy, Safety Principles, guidelines and HESQ standards established by the company, based on the Safe by Choice philosophy, as well as the applicable legal requirements and Know and comply with the other requirements defined in the Matrix of HESQ Responsibilities, associated with their position / role.
Profile
- Degree in Agronomy, Business, Engineering, or other relevant field.
- Preferably with Masters (MBA) or other Post-graduation course
- Commercial Yara positions, 7 years of relevant management experience with demonstrated team-working skills
- Previous knowledge in Agricultural Business
- Experience as Manager Leader 7 years at least
Additional Information
Knowledge and Skills
- Fluent written and spoken English. Spanish skills are a clear advantage while willingness to learn Spanish fast is a must
- Demonstrated ability to deliver commercial and financial results
- Ability to anticipate issues, set priorities and proactively works towards the objetive
