The Clinical Pharmacy Technician 3 works in a team environment to obtain information needed for medications requiring prior authorizations.

In this role you will:

• Use applications for multiple platforms needed to process and prepare prior authorizations requests requiring clinical review by the pharmacists.

• Make and receive calls from members and providers to assist with the prior authorization process

• Enter authorizations and reviewing member letters

• Review and analyze prescription claims

• Collaborate with other CarePlus departments in order to assist patients with their prescription needs

Required Qualifications

• Must reside in the state of Florida

• Active Florida Pharmacy Technician License

• Bilingual English/Spanish

• 1+ years experience in a Pharmacy Retail or Hospital setting

• 1+ years in a position with data entry skills: specifically using Word, Excel and Outlook, with ability to easily navigate multiple applications.

• Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Medicare Part D

• National Pharmacy Certification

Additional Information

Training schedule: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm EST (approx. 3 months) Once training is completed you are placed into the team’s rotation schedule.

Schedule:  Monday-Friday 8am-5pm EST or 11am-8pm EST schedule (rotating schedules, must be available to work both) Saturday and Sunday rotation is required, 1 weekend every 8 weeks 8am-5pm EST.

Home Office Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:

• At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
• Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
• Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
• Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
• Must limit distractions in work environment that would interrupt job responsibilities
• Must adhere to attendance policy, which tracks tardiness, early leave, and unexpected call outs
