About this role

Faire leverages the power of machine learning and data insights to revolutionize the wholesale industry, enabling local retailers to compete against giants like Amazon and big box stores. Our highly skilled team of data scientists and machine learning engineers specialize in developing algorithmic solutions for notification and recommender systems, advertising attribution, and LTV predictions. Our ultimate goal is to empower local retail businesses with the tools they need to succeed.

At Faire, the Data Science team is responsible for creating and maintaining a diverse range of algorithms and models that power our marketplace. We are dedicated to building machine learning models that help our customers thrive.

As a Data Scientist on the Brand team, you will design and develop algorithms to enhance the CRM system's intelligent recommendation capabilities. Additionally, you will conduct causal inference measurements to improve the referral program's incentive structure. By building effective ML models, you will also prioritize relationship management motions to drive brand success on Faire.

Our team already includes experienced Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers from Uber, Airbnb, Square, Facebook, and Pinterest. Faire will soon be known as a top destination for data scientists and machine learning, and you will help take us there!

What you’ll do 

• Drive brand success by expanding their sales and consolidating their business onto Faire's platform.
• Design and implement algorithms that enhance the intelligent recommendation capabilities of our CRM system. You will also create models that prioritize sales motion and conduct causal inference measurements to optimize the referral program's incentive structure.
• Tackle complex issues inherent in managing a two-sided marketplace. Your ability to identify and address these challenges will be critical to our continued growth and success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industry experience using machine learning to solve real-world problems, and a history of accomplishment and advancement in your Data Science career
• Resourcefulness and proactiveness: track record for executing independent projects and leading complex, cross-functional projects with dependencies
• Strong communication skills: can effectively and patiently work with others in a closely collaborative team environment. Can evangelize growth marketing initiatives to the organization
• Exceptional product and business sense
• An excitement and willingness to learn new tools and techniques
• Proficiency with Python and SQL

Salary Range

California / New York: the pay range for this role is $148,000 - $222,000 per year.

Colorado / Washington / New Jersey: the pay range for this role is $133,200 - $193,050 per year.

Actual base pay will be based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands, and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for equity and benefits.
