The Opportunity
This position works out of our Scottsdale, AZ location in the Cardiac Rhythm Management division.
As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Supply Chain Planner with a strong foundation in engineering principles and SAP systems. This role will bridge supply chain operations with engineering-driven process optimization, ensuring robust planning, efficient production, and continuous improvement across the manufacturing lifecycle
What You'll Work On
Engineering-Driven Supply Chain Planning:
Integrate Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles into supply chain planning.
Collaborate with engineering teams to align material planning with product design changes and process validations.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by coordinating supply chain readiness with engineering milestones.
Inventory & Materials Management:
Apply statistical inventory control models and engineering-based forecasting to optimize stock levels.
Collaborate with procurement and engineering to manage material specifications and supplier quality.
Demand / Supply Planning:
Use engineering capacity models and line balancing techniques to support production scheduling.
Analyze production constraints and recommend engineering solutions to improve throughput and reduce bottlenecks.
Utilize SAP tools to analyze and adjust forecasts as needed.
Process Improvement & Continuous Engineering Integration:
Lead cross-functional Kaizen events and root cause analysis (RCA) using engineering tools like FMEA and Fishbone Diagrams.
Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives in planning processes.
Reporting and Analysis:
Generate technical reports integrating supply chain KPIs with engineering metrics (e.g., OEE, yield, scrap rates).
Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making.
Present data-driven insights to senior leadership to support strategic decisions.
Skills Required:
Engineering Acumen: Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and product lifecycle management.
Analytical Thinking: Strong data analysis skills using engineering and supply chain tools.
