School Psychologist (Part-time or Full-time)

Somonauk 432 is seeking a school psychologist for the 26-27 school year. Full-time or part-time applicants welcome to apply. 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: 

• Apply expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior to help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally, while collaborating with families, teachers, and administrators to create supportive learning environments
• Administer formal and informal assessments and present findings at eligibility meetings
• Observe students across the educational setting and provide recommendations regarding supports and accommodations for students
• Serve as a member of students' IEP team by attending and participating in domain meetings, IEP meetings (when needed), and eligibility meetings
• Serve on the district's MTSS team
• Participate in professional development and provide professional development, as needed
• Serve on SEL team
• Review eligibility criteria in eligibility meetings
• Participate in 504 meetings, as appropriate
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's Degree
• Appropriate valid Illinois Professional Educators License with school psychologist endorsement or approved program required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• Excellent data interpretation skills
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
• Knowledge of the MTSS process
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
